In this experience, guests will be guided to explore and understand the territory through:
the multimedia experience and the “restoration of the senses”
MULTIMEDIA EXPERIENCE
In the exhibition, the videos will portray the territory—not as an abstract place, but as a lived space, made up of nature, history, and human presence. Participants will be “guided” through a cognitive, emotional, and experiential journey, providing them with the stimuli, knowledge, and tools necessary to engage with the territory. They will have the opportunity to explore and discover hidden and evocative corners of the area, often difficult or impossible to reach, especially for people with mobility challenges.
The exhibition includes:
- Exploration of rock-hewn churches in VR (Virtual Reality)
- Viewing of 3D videos of the territory’s rock-hewn environments
- 360° video on the local culture
- “Holographic” video: Patronal feast of Maria SS. della Bruna
- Lenticular photos showcasing the “transformation” of the city
- Cinema in Matera
RESTORATION OF THE SENSES:
During the visit to the Multimedia Museum, the senses most stimulated will be sight and hearing, while smell, taste, and touch will be less engaged.
For this reason, at the end of the Museum visit, we have created a space dedicated to the Restoration of the Senses, offering an experience to re-engage the three senses less involved during the Multimedia experience. Here, visitors can touch the raw materials seen during the visit, smell their aromas, and taste them through guided tasting paths—providing one final, impactful experience before the conclusion of the exhibition.
